There is a tree in my room

I was inspired in 2009 to paint a tree in my room...trees comfort me and I also wanted to remember our time at Seletar Camp where we were surrounded by nature.

Rainbow Crochet

I bought this fabulous multi-coloured waxed linen thread from Sagacity Arts (previously at Bras Basah Complex) and love using it in my crochet art pieces - designing around objects or creating necklaces. The waxed linen is easy to work with - it wraps itself tightly around as you work with the crochet stitch.

I have not been able to find anyone else supplying this particular thread...and it is running out fast. If anyone out there knows where I can find this do drop me a note ~ thanks in advance!

Sun rays (Sold)

The pendant on this piece is removable and the necklace can be worn on its own or as a wrap around bangle. Very versatile piece. The colours remind me of the sunrays with silver beads providing the sparkle. Also very indian in design.

Indian moon princess (Sold)

Created this piece with light pink and blue glass beads, accented with silver beads. The central circular pendant has a very indian look to it....hence its name.

Moonlight weave 1 (Artist collection)

These were weaved using off-loom flat peyote stitches...its painstaking but the results are unique and gorgeous. One of a kind pieces can be custom-made to colours that you need but it will take me about 3 weeks to complete. Again holding it against the light creates a magical-look that reminds me of christmas...

Friends for life (Not available)

Gave this to my best friend who has settled down in UK....hoping everytime she wears it she will remember our friendship and it gives her strength when she needs it.

Moonlight Serenade (Artist Collection)

This took a lot of patience - about 3 weeks to wrap this bottle around with peyote stitched beads. Guess what was the bottle....an empty...u guessed it....brands' chicken of essence bottle while I was pregnant with my first child, Chandini...hence the name because it means Moonlight in sanskrit. The colours remind me of a glass painting when you hold the bottle against the light.

Moon wishes

These can serve as pendants but my daughter preferred to use them as decorations on our live "christmas tree"...actually it was a plant in our garden at Seletar Camp. It is made of a wooden bead that has been stitched all around using a simple stringing method and just going back in and out through the central bead.

Green with envy (Sold)

Used green swarovski crystals to weave into a ball. Can be custom made in your choice of colours.
